Pressure die casting is a quick, reliable and cost-effective manufacturing process for production of high volume, metal components that are net-shaped have tight tolerances. Basically, the pressure die casting process consists of injecting under high pressure a molten metal alloy into aluminum mold (or tool).
Pressure die casting technology can produce very large light alloy parts, in high volumes and great speeds.
These machines deliver light alloy parts with high precision, superior surface finish, excellent uniformity and optimum mechanical properties.
The Pressure die casting process can also produce components with thin walls and “co-cast” parts with different types of inserts, such as screws and liners, that then become an integral part of the product itself.
Typically consisting of a simple rectangular frame, often fabricated from C-channel or tubing, containing a bottle jack or hydraulic cylinder to apply pressure via a ram to a work piece.
